Headshots

I'm so glad I got to meet and photograph Rebeca! She's an actress/singer and she's trying out for local community theatre this summer. (Which is awesome. I wish I had more time for theatre...total thespian at heart.)

We met up in downtown Edmond. It has some great little coffee shops, alleys, and brick walls- great for portraits.

I have to be very close to the subject and have to carefully pick my focus. The 1.8 aperture is blurring the background for me.

Right: 28-300mm 3.5-5.6 G (zoom lens)

I'm standing 15-20 feet back from her, and zooming optically for the blurred effect on the background.

I prefer the 1.8 portrait lens typically, but it's nice to play around with both.

Loved her outfit choices. Solid colors, simple accessories, natural makeup. She rocked it.
