Elizabeth + Nicholas

What an awesome wedding, but mostly, what an awesome couple! I was so honored when Nick and Elizabeth asked me to be their photographer so many months ago!  Mayfair is such a beautiful church, so it made for a beautiful backdrop for their wedding. They were surrounded by great friends, supportive family, and had donuts and a pretzel truck at their reception. So, you can say it was pretty awesome. Congrats Elizabeth + Nick! All the best!

Michaela + Jaron | Skelley Lodge | Catoosa, OK | 8.19.16

What a love filled, joyous, fun day! Every moment was so sweet, tear filled, exciting, and just an absolute pleasure to capture. Michaela exudes radiance and joy on a regular basis, but she especially did in that gorgeous wedding dress. Every wedding I photograph has its distinct qualities, personal to each couple. And this wedding was no exception. It was the perfect blend of sweetness and light-hearted fun, along with spiritual depth and committed love. I wish the greatest happiness to you, Michaela + Jaron! It was an honor to photograph your wedding!

Seth + Suzanna | 5.21.16 | The Hidden Porch | Catoosa, Oklahoma

One of my favorite weddings to date.

I met Suzanna in college, and she has always been one of the sweetest, funniest, and genuine people ever. So to say I was excited and honored to capture her wedding day was an understatement.

Seth and Suzanna have these ease about them. They just sort of fit, ya know? The are quirky, fun, and obviously in love. And their wedding showed that in every detail. From lovely florals, a fun bridal party, to a corgi cake topper. It was all perfectly them!

So happy for you both! It was an honor to capture your day!

Robbie + Cailtin | Wedding | Civic Center Hall of Mirrors

Robbie + Cailtin

I loved this wedding so much. Definitely one of my favorite weddings to be a part of. It was an unusually warm January 30th. The light was great, the venue was amazing, but most of all, Robbie and Caitlin were (are) awesome. The day had a sense of ease, and so did they.

One of my favorites parts of weddings is the "First Look." It's such a special, intimate moment, and always relieves any wedding day jitters or stress. Robbie and Caitlin's was no exception. It was sweet, sincere, and just lovely.

The ceremony was full of of love, the gospel, special family prayers, and a time of communion for the bridal party. The reception was a blast, and the guests could have dance for hours.

My favorite part of all was the way Robbie and Caitlin looked at each other throughout the day. They are one of the most genuine couples you'll meet, and their love for one another is ever apparent. I was so honored to capture their day.

Another plus was getting to have an old friend, Mason Drumm, second shoot for me. He is a crazy talented drummer and photographer. He captured amazing cinemagraphs, which you can find on my instagram: lauravanderzee

also, check out the rest of his amazing work

Thank you so much Caitlin and Robbie! I wish you all the joy and love.

Robbie + Caitlin | Engagement Session | Guthrie, OK

Robbie + Caitlin

Love these two! They are such a special couple. Definitely meant to be.

We had such a fun time during their session in Guthrie. The weather was perfect, with that gorgeous wintery light. Their session was truly effortless. They snuggled, laughed, and made my job really easy. It was a delight to capture this time in their relationship. Looking forward to their winter wedding in January!

Amelia + Taylor | Piedmont, Ok | Oklahoma Wedding Photography | OKC Wedding Photographer

Amelia + Taylor. These two are so sweet, fun to be around, and so well matched. I had the honor of photographing their sweet outdoor wedding in Amelia's parent's backyard. Her family worked tirelessly to get everything ready for the wedding. Landscaping, clearing trees, finding old wooden church pews- you name it. Totally DIY- down to the bouquet. Every little detail had a personal touch or a special memory.

As you Okies know, the rain in the month of May was tremendous! SO. MUCH. RAIN. The entire day was filled with the worry of rain, but Amelia was so calm and collected. The wedding was set to start at 7:00, but that's right when the rain was heading our way. So they decided to move the wedding up an hour. As a photographer, all I can about is the light. As a former bride, whose outdoor wedding got rained out, all I can feel is empathy and hope. Hope that the rain holds off. But thankfully, it was mostly family and close friends coming to the wedding, so texts were sent, phone calls were made, and everyone showed up an hour early. Whew.

Everyone got settled into the old rustic church pews, and Nickel Creek music starts playing. Commence the tears. Amelia and her Dad made a beautiful entrance, moms teared up (I may have a little too) and a beautiful commitment was made. What a special wedding. So much love, so many prayers surrounding this new marriage. Congrats Amelia and Taylor! It was truly an honor to photograph your wonderful and special day. Blessings!
